A lot of colleges offer online classes as well as going into the college in person. Online classes can save money on transportation and can be more convenient for some people.

While you attend college, you will do an internship, which means work a few hours in the Accounting field for free and for work experience. I believe that you can do an internship at any time while you are earning your degree. Most employers will require you to have a Bachelor's degree and work experience before they will hire you for an Accountant job. You can get a part time, paid job, too, while you are in school and get more experience in this field.

Near the end of your college time you will take exams. One exam is the CPA, which is usually a 2 day test. It is called a CPA sit exam. You will have time during your college adventures to prepare for this exam. To become an Accountant is one of the best career fields out there and your college will offer the people to help you along the way, as well as the classes. There are financial aid advisors, academic advisors, and the Dean of the school. Some colleges offer free tutors while attending school. In order to be very successful in college and when seeking employment, use every resource possible, keep up with your studies, ask questions, and don't try to take on too much at once.
